Francesca at home in her Colorado wildlife garden |
|
FROM THE ARTIST'S DESK:
When dreams become a reality... A few weeks ago, Frances
Mayes and I were introduced. She is the author of "Under the
Tuscan Sun" and was working a book tour for her latest best
seller, "Around the World in a Year." Frances Mayes' most
profound words to me were, "I had to redefine in my mind
where I called home in this world." She was referring to the
journey to change homelands from the USA to Italy. Although
this is what I yearn for most, it creates a deep emotional
struggle within me too. When I heard her speak those words,
I knew exactly what she meant. This summer will be the
changes of my attitudes to where I call home.
Ciao tutti,
Francesca |

Dr. Goodrich's Mini Environmental Documentary |
|
"Through
radio telemetry, we've learned a great deal about the needs of
Siberian tigers," says WCS biologist John Goodrich who heads the
Siberian Tiger Project. This powerful documentary, narrated by
Francesca, shows school children from Littleton, Colorado asking
questions of John. He reports live from the field in Terney,
Russia with tiger tracking devices in hand, educating the viewer
on his work and answering the school children's questions. This
is a unique opportunity to see the front lines of the efforts to
save the tigers.
